Adobe Photoshop: Creating a Fisheye Lens Effect

Tools/Supplies Needed:

• Adobe Photoshop
• computer
• image

Procedure:

• first start by picking a photo you want to tint to windows of the vehicle on
• using the marque tool, select the elliptical option
• click and hold shifter, then select an area on the image you would like to have the fisheye effect
• center the selection if needed
• go to edit/copy
• go to file/new, width and height will be preset and click okay
• go to edit/paste
• select the background layer, then paint bucket and pick the color black
• fill the background layer black
• now this step is optional, but does make the process a little easier and less confusing
• label the image we want to edit whatever you would like to, for this video I labelled it as "flower"
• go to filter/distort/spherize and set the value to 100% with mode in normal
• if you wish, you can multiply this effect by going again and selecting a value you wish fits your image
• double click on the "flower" layer, select inner glow, select the color as black, blend mode to normal, opacity to 100%, size to 50%, choke to 0%, ranger to 50%, jitter to 0%
• click on the "flower" layer while holding down control or command
• create a new layer
• name the new layer as "lens"
• go to select/modify/expand and set the value to eight pixels
• go to select/modify/boarder and set the value to 20 pixels
• select the paint bucket and pick the color white
• fill the "lens" layer white
• deselect the area
• double click on the "lens" layer, then select emboss
• select inner bevel, technique to hard chisel, depth to one, size to zero, highlight mode to normal, highlight mode opacity to 100%, shadow mode to normal, shadow mode opacity to 100%
• select contour and set to 100%
• select gradient with blend mode to normal, opacity to 100%, linear style, angle to -70 degrees, scale size to 80%
• click okay and that will close the window and apply changes
• set layer fill to 0% and opacity to 15%
• once you are satisfied with your image, you are ready save and you're done
