Going through the interface on the camera, I must say it's very easy to use. And surprisingly does have a fair amount of control over the video and image settings. I'll just give a quick run through on the menu settings. In order to turn the camera on or off, this can be controlled by the main power supply or the power button on top of the DVR. Some vehicles have switched 12V or cigarette lighter output by the key, others don't such as my vehicle. With mine not being switch, I have the option of turning the power button which needs to be held for a couple seconds in order for it to turn off or on, or unplug the 12V power source. Once it turns on, it will automatically start to record, which can be deactivated by the record button on the backside. On the top we can control the menu options. If you start to scroll through the first menu, press menu again and it will close. Therefore you will need to reopen the menu and then press it a second time to get into the second portion. Use the up and down arrows on the left to make different selection and press enter to select it. As for the different modes, we have three which are video, photo, and playback.
